A Grand Bargin
I had the occasion to buy a 3 day non consecutive Brit Rail pass earlier this year. It is a true bargain as travel by rail on a walk up basis is very expensive in the UK. The pass allows for nearly limitless flexibility at a truly low cost assuming one is traveling more than 100 miles at a time. You must activate your pass the first time you use it at a ticket window. However, after that, you just board any train you like. You can travel peak or non-peak. I will certainly buy again.

A great way to see the UK!!
This was the second time I bought a britrail pass in two summers. I like the convenience of no worry travel with flexibility. We had train schedules and had booked accommodations but with the trains running regularly we were able to change our day plans when we found we just wanted to see more of the town we were in. If we decided we wanted to do a side/day trip or make an unexpected stop we could. A great way to travel! I found the train staff to be very helpful and friendly. Definitely my choice of travel!

Great travel experience
In June 2012 I used the BritRail England Pass to visits parts of England I had not seen and revisit favourite places. It was simply fantastic. From London to Dover to Torquay, St Ives, Gloucester,Blackpool, York, Sheffield, and back to London all in 2 weeks. It was easy to use. Trains were on time, frequent, efficient and offered friendly helpful service. Value was great. English friends were amazed at how far I travelled and how cheap it was. I highly recommend this mode of travel.

BritRail Pass Makes Life Easy
No line ups, no fuss, just smooth sailing or should I say railing. I purchased a Flex Rail Pass and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. I just went from train to train and showed my pass to the conductor. I come from a province in Canada where their are no trains. The trains were amazing but not as amazing as the train ambassadors or should I say the passengers. They were all so helpful and friendly. CHEERS TO YOU ALL!

Never Leave Home Without One
Having a BritRail pass makes it such a pleasure to travel in Great Britain. For each annual visit, it is one of the first things I purchase. Which ticket I buy, depends on my plans for that visit. It is so convenient to not have to get a ticket for each individual trip. While travelling, you can get off and on as many times as you please. Making reservations is easy and just a matter of stopping at a station. Riding First Class is a pleasure with some meals and wifi included at times. The First Class depots in some stations are also a lovely touch. The station staff and those on the train checking the tickets are always so polite when they notice I am travelling with a BritRail pass. The value of the pass is phenomenal. Because I am generally based in Wimbledon, it is so convenient to get to almost anywhere by train. I am so pleased that this pass is available. I am sure I have seen many, many areas of Great Britain that I never would have if I had not had such a convenient pass.

Go-as-you-please
The best way to travel as there is not a problem with which train to take or if you ticket is valid for this particular train etc. One drawback is that there has to be a station attendant at the barrier so that may cause a delay to the hassle-free experience as you battle with others trying to get through the barrier manned by the official. Of course when the system breaks down due to maintenance work or a derailment it can be a problem or a blessing as you battle with the unknown! Sometimes there is a bossy barrier guard who wants to see your passport too, which if you don't carry with you means you pay for a regular ticket - is that fair?

Amazing
BritRail was amazing. I was travveling with a friend through England for 2 weeks and with the passes it was so easy to get from one place to another. And the best thing was that we could just take any train, so if we were late we could always take the next one. It was definetely worth the money!

Great Value For a Weary Traveller
The passes are a great value if you are travelling a lot, especially long distances. There a few negatives; such as, some trains don't have first class or enough room for luggage. I recommend always reserving a seat, if possible. Just a reminder to have your pass handy to get in and out of a station - they won't work in the automatic machines so you have to show your pass to be let through by security. The service is excellent on any of the trains! Do your research online so you always know what services are available. Relax and enjoy the ride through a beautiful county!!
