Excellent Experience
Having the pass was a convenient way to travel around England. There are frequent connections for the places I wanted to visit. Most trains had first class service and some had wifi too. I'd certainly buy a pass again.

Working out the individual "advance" fares, the pass, even if it is for first class travel is far more of a bargain when one considers the eaxtra service and comfort one gets.

England Rail Pass
I cannot say enough good about my experience on the England first-class rail pass. In 15 days (i.e., the purchase of two 8-day passes) I rode about 60 trains, which took me almost everywhere I needed to get. (A few buses and the London Underground filled in the gaps.) The trains were great, and the first-class cabins were almost without exception uncrowded and comfortable. The pass was honored on the Heathrow Express, and also on the English equivalent of a commuter train, which in USA would be a separate fare.
