2013 trip through England and IrelandValerie Dempster ,AustraliaAge: 60+September 12, 2013
I travelled through England, Cornwall up to Troon in Scotland and from Larne to Galway via Dublin and then back to Dublin during June and July 2013. My daughter and I travelled on the train with a Brit/rail ticket. It was so convenient and without the worry of how we were going to travel throughout our trip. It was comfortable and we were able to see the Beautiful countryside as we travelled along. Service was great, with a food trolley on all of the longer trips or a café carriage. We will definitely buy another Brit/rail pass on any of our future trips.

Fantastic way to travel!Debbie Coss ,CanadaAge: 30-39September 12, 2013
I travelled all through Scotland, Cornwall, England and Ireland by rail and it was a great experience. I especially appreciated the trains that had designated baggage areas near the doors. It made it so much easier with the huge backpack I had. Trolley service of beverages and snacks was great. The help I received from staff about connecting with other trains was just excellent. A great way to see the country and a great way to talk with people if you wish. The train schedules are usually bang on and there aren't many places you can't get to through connections. I really enjoyed using the convenience of my 5-day pass to hop on and off as I liked. I wasn't limited to where to go or when. For those travelling from outside of Great Britain I would highly recommend the pass. Thanks again for a wonderful trip!

Love the flexibility!Becky Turner ,U.S.A.Age: 50-59February 02, 2013
My husband and I really loved the flexibility of the BritRail Pass - and our entire adventure through the UK and Ireland! All of our train rides were good, relaxing experiences. Coming from the U.S. Midwest, we have very little experience with this form of travel, so we did make some mistakes, and we did miss the train we had intended to take to Wales. Fortunately, we were quickly able to modify our route and reach our destination without the hassle of re-ticketing or more expense - Awesome! One thing we never did quite figure out was whether we could reserve seats, and on some trains, we almost needed to do so. Otherwise, everything was smooth, and oh, so flexible. We also had one ferry pass, which proved just as easy to use! I highly recommend this bargain to anyone planning to do much traveling in the British Isles.

Britrail + Ireland PassEsther Andrews ,USAJanuary 26, 2013
I have used Britrail passes several times, but this was the first time I used a Britrail + Ireland passs. England and Scotland are well connected by rail to points of interest, but the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland have some catching up to do. For example, after we crossed from Fishguard in Wales over to Rosslare, we had to lay overnight because there were no trains on to Dublin that night. Information on how to connect to the train in Scotland after we took the ferry from Belfast to Stranraer was almost nonexistant (as it turns out there it involves a bus ride). Information signs in the terminals as to the use of buses would have been very helpful. However, having said all that, employees of the train and ferry services were always friendly and willing to assist.

Very Convenient and easy!! Never had to worry about a thing. Just showed up at the station and walked right on to any train going anywhere! Great option for those who are worried travelers or inexperienced with public transportation! It made my trip go very smooth and worry free!

Britrail for meAnthony Turnbull ,USAAge: 60+January 24, 2013
We used the Britrail for 30 days in July 2012 through Northern England, Scotland, Norther Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and back through Northern England. We also combined it with the ferry fron Stranraer to Belfast and from Dublin to Holyhead. We found it an excellent and relaxing way to travel with excellent viewing of the British and Irish countryside and plan to do the same again during our next UK visit.
